5 Words That Describe Me as a Therapist
Genuine, Empathetic, Funny, Nonjudgmental, Trustworthy
My Approach
My approach to therapy is person-centered, emphasizing the importance of genuineness, empathy, and non-judgment towards everyone I work with. In therapy, I create a safe space for clients to share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Not only do we work together to gain insight into these things, but we will also learn valuable tools and coping skills to manage life’s stressors. As well as creating plans of action so that you can make real steps towards creating the life you desire.
I strive to create a warm, open environment, using humor and empathy to allow clients to feel comfortable being themselves. I use a holistic approach focusing on the mind, emotions, body, and spirit, all being interconnected and equally important. I strive to offer culturally responsive, inclusive, and gender affirming care, allowing anyone I work with to feel seen, understood, and accepted.
About Me
In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, and going on walks with my miniature poodle, Zane. I enjoy reading and listening to audiobooks (especially fantasy), listening to music, and baking. I also enjoy taking art classes, especially drawing and watercolors. I try to incorporate art into therapy at times; I feel that it can be a fun and creative tool!
