My Approach
I refer to my work as “nutrition therapy” rather than “dietetics” because that gives you a much more accurate picture of what sessions with me are like. As your nutrition therapist, I don’t consider it my job to tell you what, when, or how much to eat; instead, it’s my job to use what I know about human biology and psychology to help you read the unspoken cues your body is giving you and translate them into a language we both can understand. Together we can learn what your individual body’s preferences are and how to honor them in a way that makes sense for your life. Topics like intuitive eating, body liberation, and social justice are important to me and often included in the work I do. You can count on me for a direct, straightforward approach that also includes copious amounts of sarcasm, laughter, and celebration!
About Me
In my free time, you can typically find me tinkering around my house, binge-watching reality TV shows, and playing board games with my friends.
It’s also worth noting that my dog, Dax, often accompanies me to the office and likes to make guest appearances on-screen during virtual visits. We’re both looking forward to meeting you!
Background
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and completed my RD training through Virginia Tech University. I have been a nutrition therapist since 2014 and have experience working in a variety of clinical settings and levels of care.
