5 Words That Describe Me as a Therapist
Kind, Patience, Funny, Warmly-Direct, Solution Focused

My Approach
I know that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I aim to make the process as approachable and collaborative as possible. We begin with conversation. You are the expert on your life and experiences, and my role is to offer comfort, validation, and thoughtful guidance along the way. I believe therapy should be flexible and even casual at times. That means sharing practical tools or new ways of approaching a challenge, and other times it means simply holding space after a hard day or week. My approach is warm, direct, and solution focused, grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when clients feel supported, respected, and empowered.

About Me
I grew up in a large family, which sparked my passion for helping people better understand themselves and their relationships. I love to travel and to lift heavy things (I even once pulled a fire truck). I’m an aunt to many nieces and nephews who keep me feeling young, even if I still have to ask my teenage clients what certain words mean. I value authenticity and want clients to feel comfortable bringing anything into the room.

Background
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Minnesota and have over ten years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families.

“Supporting growth, grounded in your strengths.”
