My Approach
Life can sometimes be messy, and you don't have to navigate it alone. You might be feeling stuck and overwhelmed. Or in a season of life where things feel heavy. I help you make sense of your experience and find a path forward. I specialize in working with couples, and individuals with concerns related to complex trauma, relational issues, anxiety, depression, and difficult life transitions/adjustments. My work draws from approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing, and other body-based and relational therapies.
I have a warm, gentle demeanor, and I genuinely care about you. My approach to therapy is a person-centered one. I pay close attention to the pace of our work, so that it feels just right for you.
About Me
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, baking lots of sweets, going on walks, reading, writing, and watching movies. I'm someone who naturally reflects deeply about things. I am committed to using a lens of cultural humility, and I welcome conversations around race, identity, gender, power and privilege as they arise in our work together.
Background
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Communication and Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I have additional training in the Gottman Method of couples therapy, and discernment counseling. I am also currently training with Ellyn Bader, and Pete Pearson of the Couples Institute, whose work continues to shape how I approach relational healing.
