5 Words That Describe Me as a Therapist
Authentic, Active, Collaborative, Optimistic, Consistent

My Approach
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence- based practice. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship begins with a genuine connection, trust and creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I consider myself a realistic optimist and encourage clients to approach change with curiosity and self-compassion. Learning and practicing new skills in therapy can be challenging and requires courage. My goal is to support clients through that process, helping them build practical tools and greater confidence to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

I enjoy working with individuals navigating eating disorders, ARFID, OCD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and significant life transitions. My clinical approach incorporates a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) while also incorporating principles of somatic and polyvagal approaches.

About Me
I am an extrovert and love spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I love to spoil our two Westie dogs, Max and Margo, who may happen to make a guest appearance during a therapy session. I love to go on walks with my dogs, bike, watch reality TV shows, collect succulents, and go hiking in the Arizona red rocks.

Background
I graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2009 with a Doctorate in Psychology. I’ve been a Licensed Psychologist for 15 years, with 25 years of experience in the mental health field. For the past 20 years, I have specialized in the treatment of eating disorders providing both direct client care and executive leadership within several national behavioral health organizations.

I am a Nationally Registered Health Service Psychologist and have specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for the treatment of OCD. I am also a Board Approved Supervisor through the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health. I have extensive experience creating clinical curriculum, program development, and facilitating continuing education presentations.
