Amber Egdorf, MA, LPCC, LADC
(she, her, hers)
Individual Adult and Adolescent Therapist
My Approach:
I provide individual therapy for adults and adolescents (16+). My approach is focused on helping my clients developing individual paths of healing while creating a calm, grounding and collaborative space.
I specialize in working with those who have dual concerns with substance abuse and mental health, those working to recovery from traumatic experiences, LGBTQIA identifying, and individuals who identify with symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder. I integrate a multi-methodology approach with my clients, including the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Systems work.
Experience & Education
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Alcohol and Drug Studies through Minnesota State University, Mankato and obtained my Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counseling licensure in 12/2016. I worked as an outpatient SUD Counselor with both adults and adolescents for 5-years prior to graduating with my Master's of Arts in Clinical Counseling and Psychological Services in 2/2022. I am trained in adherent Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and am an LADC approved supervisor. I am currently licensed independently in Minnesota.
