Registered Dietitian
About Me:
First things first, I am a judgement-free dietitian and I am here to meet you where you’re at. I am here to help promote a life that enables you to live out your values, and yes, that includes finding joy in food, nutrition, and eating! I am an anti-diet, pro-health, Health at Every Size (HAES) advocate. I practice from an “all foods fit” mindset and embrace the principles of Intuitive Eating. I specialize in treating eating disorders and disordered eating patterns, as well as provide support to those ready to break free from a lifetime of chronic dieting. Through counseling, coaching, education, and food exposure support, I help individuals challenge rigid food rules and thoughts around eating, encouraging them to embrace their inner wisdom and body cues rather than the strict rules and rituals of diet culture. It is my mission, as a dietitian, to help you foster a new-found freedom and mentality around food, while maintaining your authentic, true self, pursuing overall health, and supporting personal values and wellness goals. While most of my professional experience has been in disordered eating work, I do offer services in sports nutrition, family nutrition, and general nutrition education, such as learning how to navigate food and diet with a medical diagnosis, and am always open to exploring how I can best support you and your needs.
My Food Philosophy:
As a registered dietitian, normal eater, and human, I believe…
… eating should be simple, easy, and enjoyable – not stressful, shameful or anxiety-provoking.
…food does not hold morality; it neither “good” nor “bad”.
…food should taste good, be nourishing, and satisfying.
…food is fuel for the body, mind, and spirit.
…hunger is more than just physical, it’s emotional, social, and psychological.
…the body is smart, unique, and resilient; in it’s innate, natural state, the body knows itself best.
…in intuition, balance, variety, and moderation, not restriction.
As a registered dietitian, it is my goal to guide and support you in developing a mindful, sustainable, and nourishing relationship with food, body, and movement, and to provide you with the information and knowledge you need to feel confident and grounded in making nutrition-related decisions that best meet your body’s needs and, wholeheartedly, honor your values. Experience & Education:
I completed my undergraduate studies at The University of Wisconsin-Madison (2015) and hold a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Life Sciences Communication. I went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences-Dietetics and an Academy-accredited Dietetic Internship through a coordinated Masters program at Illinois State University (2018). I have over 5 years of experience working as a registered dietitian.
About Me:
I love to be outside doing all the things: going for walks and hikes, running, skiing, riding bikes, camping, exploring, having a picnic, listening to live music, dancing - you name it. I do like my inside time too and prefer to spend it baking something sweet, reading under a cozy blanket, writing, or playing yahtzee.
Services I Provide:
I currently offer virtual, telehealth nutritional counseling and coaching via Jenni Wolf Nutrition, LLC.
