Who I am/ My Approach

I identify as a HAES (Health at Every Size) practitioner, a food freedom dietitian, intuitive eater enthusiast, and a human who loves, enjoys, and appreciates all different types of foods. I am passionate about helping others heal their relationships with food and body while discovering a way to eat that is sustainable and nourishing to the body and mind. Nutrition can be confusing in the world we live in today (where we are constantly being bombarded by a new fad diet or eating trend), but it doesn’t have to be. I believe that health is not tied to any specific number or nutrient.

There is no one quite like you, so how you nourish your body should be individual to you and I am excited to help guide you in that journey of figuring out how. I believe eating should be free of judgments and guilt, and that food can provide not only physical nourishment and fuel for our bodies, but also a source of joy, connection, pleasure, and excitement for our minds. When working together, I will provide guidance and education to help you reach your specific nutrition related goals and needs, help integrate gentle nutrition in a way that does not feel restrictive or forced, and encourage you to make your own food choices with full autonomy in a way that fits into your individual lifestyle. I believe that all foods can fit into a healthy, balanced diet and that a diet free from all food rules in the healthiest one for both physical and mental health.

Licensure and Experience

I have over 4 years of experience working as a dietitian. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree, I completed the University of Minnesota’s Dietetic Internship with a concentration in Medical Nutrition Therapy where I gained experience working with individuals with a variety of chronic illnesses. For the past 3 years I have worked in an eating disorder treatment facility in multiple levels of care including IDP, IOP, and OP, where I help guide individuals through different chapters of their recovery journeys, while providing education and support as they heal their relationship with food, movement, and body. I also have experience working in an outpatient setting helping individuals manage conditions including celiac disease, multiple food allergies/intolerances, diabetes, gastroparesis, cancer, and general nutrition education.
