About Me:

I am an athlete at heart, so when an unexplained sports injury landed me in a therapist's office at 16 years old, I was ready to work as hard as I could to get outta there! I am pretty real, so let me be honest and say I did not believe I could get back to playing the sport I love by talking to someone about my feelings. After some hesitation, I started to understand the impact my mental health has on my physical performance and wellbeing. Fast forward a couple of degrees and years of life experience later, I am now spending my career helping people be their best selves by tapping into the connection between their mind and their body.

I graduated from the College of Saint Benedict with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Latin American Culture and Theology. My experience as a Bennie taught me so much about the importance of community and surrounding yourself with people who support you, and I tend to let that influence my therapy practice as well. I think it's important to consider a person in terms of their context, meaning the relationships we uphold so greatly impact our wellbeing. I graduated from the University of St. Mary's Minneapolis in December of 2024 with my Master's degree in Counseling and Psychological Services. While completing this degree, I worked as a behavior technician at an autism day treatment center, and in an elementary school helping kids with math. I have always had a passion for helping people, but working with kids these last couple years has been so rewarding. I found a love for their authentic emotions and curiosity, and have definitely allowed them to influence me into being more inquisitive and honest with myself and in my relationships. I hope to inspire that in my therapy clients as well, by prioritizing the therapeutic relationship between client and clinician. Together we can make sessions a safe space to be genuine and open with emotions and experiences.

As a therapist I treat anxiety, depression, eating disorders and body image. I got into the field of therapy intending to work with athletes, but I find that my clients all have the drive to learn and grow and perform at their best as an athlete would, whether they play a sport or not. I've worked with all ages and stages of life, and I think there is nothing too big or too small to talk to a therapist about. I encourage my clients to come as they are to therapy and I admire my clients for the hard work they put in by showing up for themselves in session. There is something new to learn each session and truly some magic in the therapeutic connection, and I think that's why therapy is special, that magic makes me excited to come to work each day.
