Briana Freeberg, MA, LMFT

(she, her, hers)

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

My Approach:

I approach therapy with warmth, honesty, and compassion, creating a safe space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. My work is systems based and relational, rooted in the belief that healing happens through connection, understanding, and self compassion. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating eating disorders, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, and fertility challenges. I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience in recovery from an eating disorder, which informs my understanding of resilience, courage, and growth. I am committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals and working alongside Native communities with respect and humility. I combine empathy, humor, and directness to help clients identify patterns, reclaim their strengths, and move toward meaningful change.

Licensure & Education:

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board-Approved supervisor in Minnesota. I received my bachelors degree from the University of Saint Thomas in 2010 in psychology. I received my Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota in 2013. I received my license to practice therapy in 2016. I am certified in Anchored Relational Therapy (formerly AIR Network Therapy) and have over a decade of experience in the field.

About Me:

I’m a therapist, lifelong reader, and classic rock fan who values connection, curiosity, and justice. I’m married and raising two daughters in a multiracial family, which informs my perspective on identity, belonging, and connection. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors with my family and our dog, Sparrow, and cat, Slushy (named by our seven-year-old).
