My Approach
I believe our relationship with food affects so much more than just our physical health—it touches on our emotions, social connections, and even our cultural identity. Food is deeply personal, and for many, it can bring a mix of joy, guilt, comfort, and stress. When that relationship becomes complicated, it can impact how we relate to ourselves and others. My goal is to partner with you, and help you shift away from unrealistic health expectations and dieting, moving toward sustainable eating habits that nourish both your body and mind.
I practice from a Health a Every Size (HAES) standpoint and utilize an all-foods fit mentality. I am never going to tell you that you cannot eat something, and focus more on how, when, why and where you eat food rather than what foods you are eating.
Education
I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees in nutrition, dietetics, and food science from the University of Central Oklahoma. After graduating, I completed a dietetic internship with Sodexo in Houston, Texas, where I gained valuable experience in medical nutrition therapy, particularly for eating disorders. This experience ranged from working with patients in the hospital to providing outpatient care.
About me
I am a Minnesota transplant from Oklahoma and learning to love all the things the Midwest has to offer! In my free time I enjoy golfing, watching or going to any sporting event, trying new restaurants, traveling, and cuddling with my dog Charlie, and kitty, Matilda.
